Project 3 — Our biggest yet

We're scaling up again. This time we're targeting 6 schools across Ghana, bringing free programming and STEM education to over 100 participants. Your donation today makes this possible.

Our second project took us to 4 schools in the Ashanti Region — our largest deployment yet. Over two weeks, around 400 students aged 8 to 17 received focused, hands-on programming training.

This was a dedicated programming project — we focused entirely on coding. One school received training in Arduino programming, giving students their first taste of hardware-software interaction.

Four hundred young people who had never written code left with the knowledge, the curiosity, and the confidence to keep building.

Our founding project. We went to a community in the Central Region where none of the 30+ students had any idea what coding was. Some had seen a computer before — most had not.

In one week, they built 5 STEM projects. Two stood out: an organic power supply — which measured 19.6mV on a multimeter — and a buzz wire game that community members queued to play.

"It works! Look, it really works!" That moment is why we do this.

Empowering Young Minds for Science and Technology

We go to schools and communities in Ghana deprived of technology to spark curiosity first — then we teach programming basics and guide kids to build real STEM projects. 100% free.

Our journey so far

Two projects. 430+ young minds. A movement growing.

Since 2024, Tech4Kids Foundation has run two projects across two regions of Ghana — reaching over 430 students in schools and communities that technology has largely passed by. Every project is 100% free for every child.

Our first project in August 2024 took us to a community in Ghana's Central Region. We engaged over 30 students aged 7 to 15 — none had ever written a line of code. In one week, they went from "what's code?" to building real STEM projects.

Out of the five, two caught the attention of both the students and community members alike. They had built an organic power supply and a buzz wire game.

Organic Power Supply

Community members questioned how organic matter could possibly produce electricity — the kids showed them.

Buzz Wire Game

Community members lined up to play the game these young builders had designed and wired themselves.

Kids were jumping, clapping, shouting "It works! Look, it really works!" Community members joined in their joy.

"It works! Look, it really works!"

The multimeter read 19.6mV — electricity generated from organic matter, by children who had never touched a circuit two days earlier.

30 kids in the Central Region proved what's possible. Then we came back bigger.

In May 2025, we went to the Ashanti Region — this time to 4 schools with about 400 students aged 8 to 17. Over two weeks, we focused entirely on programming. One school even received training in Arduino programming. The scale was different. The impact was the same — young people discovering what they're capable of.

Two projects. Two regions. 430+ students. And thousands of young people across Ghana are still waiting for their "It works!" moment.

Our next project is in August 2026, targeting 6 schools with over 100 participants. We need your donations to cover transportation, accommodation and feeding for our volunteers — the people who make every "wow" moment possible.

Sponsor the next "It works!"

Thousands of kids are waiting. One sponsored volunteer reaches 10 of them. Be the reason a child shouts "it works!" this August.

You just sparked a "wow!"

Thank you for your generosity. Your support brings a child in Ghana one step closer to their "It works!" moment.
